Artemis' ivory body gleamed as she made her way along the Epis River. Twin harks were pricked atop of her head, acoustics cupping any faint noise that might come to them. Warm amber orbs, almost golden, glimmered in the warm sunlight that cascaded down through the trees. Her hooves sank into the soft dirt, leaving perfect impressions behind. Long ivory banner whipped from side to side, thwacking against her flanks, keeping away unwanted pests that swarmed around her in annoyance. Flints moved in sync, carrying her lovely carcass forward.
Sure, Artemis was slightly arrogant, and conceited. She knew she was pretty and knew it because she was the the lead , and the ruler of this land. She blew out her nares softly omitting a gentle snort. She pressed on until she reached the river. She stopped by it and lowered her neck and plunged her velvet kissers into the ice cold water as she began taking long drinks from it. Artemis hadn't realized just how thirsty she was until now.
The water felt good going down her throat. After a few moments , she raised her head and scanned around, as a few water droplets dripped off her whiskers. She snorted again and extended her front foreleg out, rubbing her nares against her upper knee. Artemis had the ability of telekinesis, which means she is able to move inanimate objects with her mind. She smirked to herself at the thought of over ruling the other herds. It would be a history making move of course. She raised her hind leg up belly level and stomped it once, relieving some tension that had built up in her muscles. She flicked her banner again and stood by the cool river, wondering if anyone would come to greet her today. Surely they couldn't pass up a lovely thing like her.
Ever since she was young, Artemis' ability had grown. When she was only a foal, she was able to lift leaves and branches. Now, she can move anything as long as she concentrated. There were no limits to her ability, but surely there were weakneses. If she concentrates on a heavy object for too long, she becomes tired and weak herself. Then she has to let it drop. Both ears twitched every once and a while, listening to the birds chirping and watching the fluffy white clouds roll by. A few had taken flight, their bodies ebony.

rune . Ha, care, you want him to care. You didn't care about any one or thing, why would he care? Being dark in the way that he was, darkness was something that you wished for. Something that you wanted to be in your heart everyday, or well that was the way that he was. He was dark, with a dark heart, and darkness was in him right down to his bones. He couldn't help being this way that was what happened went you lived with a dark family who used the powers that they had for evil doings. That was what he was, what he lived for, doing evil things, hurting everyone that came his way. Bitching at those who gave him a glace that could kill giving the right motive. He crushed the spirits of others who gave him that look, the look that could kill - well he paid it back in full. Paid it back with their life, killing for the fun of it, that was something else that made life just a bundle of fun to live in, why he liked to live here. In this world, those who liked to kill and bring about suffering to others where the ones with power. They were the ones who where feared and that was what made him all the more stronger, that was what he liked. Bringing fear and pain into anthers life; you could say that Rune lived for that in a way. Rune lived to being pain upon another, crashing their skulls into the ground as you play with them, watch and chuckle why they scream and run away from you.
He wished, Rune wished it was raining. He always was found to be in a better mood after a rain shower or something along those lines. Instead of being here under the sun and in a heat like this; he hated this type of weather. He proffered the muddy, damp, and cold days, it was better to chase equines in too, watching them struggle as they run in the rain and maybe even sometimes fall into the mud; unable to get out of it too. It was like music to the eyes you could say, watching the fear in their eyes as he was right behind, and not to mention that they where struggling in the mud with no one to help them out of it or to even care. Sure he was there, but Rune? Care? You had to be joking. Not only could he see the fear, he could smell the fear in the air, the reason of that being he had been around it so much. It was easy to spot; easy to spot when others feared him - or anything else of that matter. The things that hindered him, the sun, daylight and the heat, it made the job h liked to do just that much harder than it already was. Being as thick pelted as he was, even though he was not a draft himself and even though he had arabian blood inside of him; which was used to the heat. He didn't like it, and it help made him job that much harder. The cool weather you could say was something called a sanctuary to him, putting all that aside, he had more of an advantage in the cooler weather; it made the chase so much easier. Well when it came down to something like that of course, it wasn't often when you found a light running around here that he could pick on and push to the edge of insanity. He loved that job, he loved watching them squirm underneath his words, underneath his touch, a feeling that he loved to watch and see. It wasn't really his fault though that he was brought up to make others who live fear him for what he was. He believed that it was not his fault anyway, but you could say that in a way it was, he didn't put a stop to his personality and still plagued the world with his ass of a personality.
His cremello bodice moved around the lands, he was quiet the large equine, standing at the height of seventeen point one hands high but that was the way that he liked being. He got the height from his thoroughbred blood, though he was also mixed with an arabian and akhal-teke which was where his elegance and his color came from. All his breeds that he had in his blood had some kind of relevance to how he looked to the rest of the world. His cords, flicked against his hocks as he moved in a walking pace, black hooves dug into the ground as he moved, leaving hoof marks as moved. Blue opticals scanned around the land, dial held high as he moved, coming upon the river, and the mare standing by the waters edge. Coming to stand, so that he was by her side, he socked his head slightly to look at her with his blue opticals. Lips parting as he spoke in a devilish, flirty but slightly cold tone. Saying a few words and a few words only. "Hey sweetie." And that was all he wrote...until next time.

Artemis turned her dial toward the cremello stallion standing by her side. She smirked back at him and jerked her head up slightly, causing her mane to bounce against her neck. She regarded him with her brown eyes and spoke to him also.
"Hey boyo. What brings you out here? Looking for one of them disgusting Appelle losers?" She asked him, grinning broadly.
Artemis was purely a bitch. Flat out. There was nothing kind about her. Although, deep down she did have a soft spot for foals, but she never let anyone know that. And she planned on keeping it that way. She had her games she liked to play. First, messing with others heads. Oh that was fun. Watching the fear creep into their eyes as well as panic. It was just glorious. On occasion she'd chase another mare. That was fun too. She didn't really get along with mares too much, stallions much more easier. Perhaps it was the way that the mares behaved. Some, acted as though they were in season and flung themselves at any available stallion. To her, that was just poor taste to behave like that. A gentle breeze whipped her long ivory cords around in several directions as she kept her eyes on Rune.
"I hate this weather," Artemis said scowling, lifting a forehoof and stomping it on the ground before dragging it in the dirt, as though she were pawing at the ground. "All this sun makes me nauseous"
She turned to Rune.
"Why dont we take a walk somewhere dark and dingy? Like the Spook cemetary or something?" she suggested to him as she stood, waiting for his response.
She was pretty similar to Rune. Anything bright and cheerful she nearly gagged at. All those happy go lucky mares made her sick to her stomach...literally. And Artemis wasn't opposed to spreading rumors aroudn about anyone either. Especially if that equine back stabbed her, she wasn't one to push aside revenge either. It was just used in slight moderation. She could be extremely selfish too, only wanting things to go her way. If they didn't she would get upset and pout. Rune always made her feel good and she never ever would do anything to hurt him or anything. She was tied to him and that was going to be it. She smirked at him and playfully turned her head around, staring at a medium sized tree stump. It was knarled and decaying . After a few moments, the stump rose a few feet off the ground before dropping. She turned back to Rune.
"We could do that with a Appelle if you want," she offered sweetly as she waited for him to speak again.

rune . You could say that Rune was not really much of an average stallion around here, he had powers, powers that was most favored by him. Who in their right mind really wouldn't want a power such as astral projection. Apart from the fact that you really couldn't keep it up for a really long time, but that was not really the thing that counted the most about it, it was having the power that he had was what made it such a good thing you could say. He certainly love the fact that he had an ability that allowed him to be in more than once place at once. Even if the burn out for it was quick for that matter. Well not quickly, it worked for about fifteen minutes without any problems but after that was when it began to strike. Though it was just a common fact after gaining a power like that, sure it was a big loss, but not as big as not having one at all for that matter. It was so pleasing to him what he could do with it, annoying everyone, making their lives a living hell, picking on the lighter kind because they glanced at him in a funny way. That was what he was all about and why he loved to have the power in the first place. What you could do with it was one of the best factors about it; being in league with the darker equines that walk around was the best thing to use it for. Rune being Rune, he loved a good fight and what a better way to make sure that you were going to win that fight than having two of you to deal with someone who was walking around picking the fight. Or whoever he had picked the fight with. Which for Rune that was something big that he often got into, fights with other equines, he just couldn't help it, and mostly it was because the pair had problems with each other. That was the common problem with them that Rune had, they just didn't like him - not his fault now was it?
As the mare that he had come to see in this place, the herd that he lived in. He stood beside her, harks twitched upon the top of his dial, taking in the tone of her lyrics, and the words that had come form the pretty little maw of hers. His own lips parted as after the words she had spoke, he began to reply. "You could say that...or ones that were stupid enough to come into a land like this." A smirk formed upon his maw as he had finished with the lyrics that he used to reply to the first words that she had spoke out to him. "Hmmm...we could. If that's what you wish, you're the lead here right? Don't think I haven't heard of you." He continued with that smirk that he had upon his maw, the small breeze of the wind that he felt tugged at his hind locks as he stood there, noticing the stump that had moved behind her, well now he knew the power that she had. Though he was not going to reveal his just yet, maybe later but that was still going to be something called a mystery. He chuckled slightly, "sounds like a plan." He was waiting for her to make the move, to make the turn out of his land. But all that Rune had to do was wait for it of course.

Artemis grinned at him broadly and took a few steps in the direction of the lands where she knew the others would be lurking. She paused and glanced back at him, smirking too.
"Well boyo, come on. Let's see if we can find some 'prey' to press upon our lovely company," she said to him grinning. Both harks were pricked upright, acoustics cupping any noise that might come from him. She snorted through her tear dropped shaped nares, omitting a gentle woof. Her warm amber eyes were locked on Rune's waiting to see what he would do.
There was something about him that attracted her to him. He was ruthless and cunning, just the type of stallion she was looking for. She knew he probably didn't take anyones bullshit and thats what she liked. She was the same way. Tough. Frightening and just the way she liked her stallions.
True, they had to respect her, because respect was given from her to them if they did it first. She licked her bottom lip, feeling her whithers ripple from the flies buzzing around her ivory pelt. A few of them landed on her hide, biting her perfect hide, causing itchy welts to form. She craned her head around and began nipping at the site. She extended her front leg out, lowering her head down, and rubbing her nares against her upper knee. When she was done, Artemis looked at Rune.
"Some are stupid. I have to admit that. How hard is it to pay attention," She said to him. A gentle breeze whipped her mane forward, tressels tickling her cheeks. She shifted her hooves in the dirt. Above the sun vanished behind the clouds, briefly engulfing them in semi darkness. Birds had taken their perch in the trees, chirping noisily while Artemis waited for Rune to speak again.
